Beautiful color photos from 1940s

Check out Denver Post's display of 70 color photographs from the early 1940s... Timeless - classic - and Perfect!

It is funny to me to see color photos from the early 1940s b/c i have never glimpsed a color photo of my mom as a child. I understand that the color technology was probally very expensive back then therefore most families didn't have color slide technology. The photos all have such great detail - and show what the world was like then. A time of simplicity.
